KitPvP is our fighting game. A kit is a set of armor, weapons and supplies built for one style of combat. Pick a kit, get its gear, and fight another player in a small arena. Win the fight to take the duel.
You can duel one player, join the free-for-all arena, or practice against a bot. All of it is on the same server, so you can switch between them without adding a new address.
The server is open to everyone on Java and Bedrock. It is still a beta, so expect changes and the occasional restart. If something looks wrong, tell us on Discord.
Every mode uses the same kits and the same server. Pick the one that fits your mood.

A duel with no rating on the line. Casual matches use skill matching, so you are paired with someone close to your level.
It is the best place to try a new kit or warm up before ranked.
Jump into the FFA arena and fight everyone there. Pick a kit and get straight into the action.
FFA is open to all players, so it is a quick way to play when you do not want to wait for a duel.
Duel a practice bot when nobody else is online, or when you want to learn a kit. Bots fight back, so you can test your timing and reach.
Bot fights are for practice. They are not ranked.
Minecraft's combat has changed over the years, and KitPvP lets you choose the feel you like best. Your choice is called your combat style.
Also called classic combat. Attacks have no cooldown, so fast clicking and quick combos matter.
Many long-time PvP players learned on this style. Each kit still has its own rules.
The newer combat system. Attacks have a cooldown, so timing each hit matters more than clicking as fast as you can.
Modern kits are built around that rhythm.
In the lobby, right-click the combat clock in your hotbar or type /combat to switch styles. Your choice stays with you when you join a queue. Elytra duels use their own combat rules.
Both players get the same kit in a duel, so the fight is decided by how you use it. The kits are split by combat style.
Classic, NoDebuff, BuildUHC, Bow, Combo, OP, Boxing and Sumo. These are built for classic combat, from all-round fights to potions, building, boxing and ring-outs.
Sword, Axe, Mace, Spear, NethPot, SMP and Diamond SMP. These use the modern combat rhythm, with weapons and gear from the newer game.
A spear and an elytra. Fly, close the distance and pick your moment to strike. It plays differently from a ground duel, so give yourself a few rounds to learn the movement.
FFA has its own kits: Knight, Archer, Brute, Windrunner and Warhammer, each in a classic and a modern version. Pick one with /kit when you join the arena.
The kit menu shows every duel kit, so you can try a new one whenever you like. Open the menu in the lobby or type /kit.
KitPvP has its own address. You do not need to join the hub first.

Every ranked duel changes your rating, and the KitPvP leaderboard tracks the players at the top. Filter it by ranked or casual, by combat style and by kit to see where you stand.
New to the server? Start with casual duels or a bot fight, then move to ranked when you know a kit. You can also type /ffa top in game to see the FFA leaders.
